Großglockener Hochalpenstrasse
The Grossglockner High Alpine Road leads into one of the greatest natural landscapes on earth, the Hohe Tauern National Park. Within a few kilometers, you can traverse all the climate and vegetation zones between Austria and the Arctic: meadows, forests, alpine pastures, rock and ice. And at the end you are in front of Austria’s largest mountain: the Großglockner (3,798 m), high above the Pasterzen glacier.
