Vorderkaserklamm

The Vorderkaserklamm between St. Martin and Weißbach, which was declared a natural monument in 1977, was first made accessible to visitors in 1882. Today the gorge is 400 m long, 80 m deep, up to 6 m wide and 80 cm narrow at the bottom. A total of 51 footbridges and 35 steps with 373 steps were installed in the gorge.

After about 15 minutes walk you reach the cable car valley station, at 1,076 m altitude, where there is also a small rest house. With the cable car you will overcome about 500 meters and get to the mountain inn “Dr. Oedl Haus”. From there you can already see the cave portal, which can be reached in another 15 minutes walk.

In the cave there is a constant temperature of 0 ° Celsius, of course in the summer! Warm clothes and good shoes are recommended. A guided tour takes about 75 minutes, visiting about 1 km of this cave. It overcomes approximately 130 m difference in altitude.

Krimmler Waterfalls

The Mittlerer Achenfall overcomes a height of about 100 meters and the third, the lower Achenfall, is another 140 meters high.

The climb up to the highest Achenfall takes one hour, to the Mittlerer case you walk 30 minutes, and the lowest waterfall can be reached in 10 minutes.
